What Is a Huber Needle?
Huber needle is a non-coring needle designed for implantable port-a-caths and mediaports. The needle tip is curved at a special angle to prevent cutting the silicone diaphragm and is inserted in a “detach and close” manner.
This can effectively reduce diaphragm injury and prolong the service life of the infusion port, making it the most commonly used for chemotherapy, contrast injection, and long-term infusion port needles.
In short, the needle is a specialized medical device for accessing a port with needle. It is a fine-grained, high-safety puncture tool that is standard with all implantable drug delivery devices.
